Joyce E. Christy 62 of South Charleston passed away suddenly June 15, 2015 at CAMC Memorial Division after a long illness. Joyce was a former employee of Monsanto with 28 ½ years of services and was a Radiologist and LPN at CAMC General Division. She was a 1971 Graduate of Sissonville High School, a Graduate of the Radiology Program at CAMC, a Graduate of the LPN Training Program at Garnett Career Center, a member of The Eastern Star #131 South Charleston, and attended Sugar Creek Missionary Baptist Church. Preceding her in death was her father, Roy Plummer Christy. Survivors include her loving mother Bonnie Jenkins of Dunbar; brother, Gary Christy and wife Freddie of Sissonville; nephew Billy Christy and wife Bethany of Vienna; niece Samara Woods and husband Mark of Sissonville; great nephew, Jared Murray; great nieces, Ashlynn Christy, Megan and Kelsey Frampton; her little 4 paws, Gabby and her best friend Diane Melton. The family would like to thank Pulmonary Care Associates, Thomas Hospital, CAMC Memorial Division and Kanawha County Ambulance Authority for all their care and services. Funeral Services will be 1:00 PM Wednesday June 17, 2015 at Cunningham-Parker-Johnson Funeral Home with the Rev. Raymond Jordan officiating. Burial will follow in John Beane Cemetery, Sissonville.
