Joseph Ander Smith, 87, of Charleston, passed away the 17th day of October, 2022.  He will be sadly missed by wife Barbara Smith, Granddaughters, Meagan Leslie and Erin Wright, and great grandchildren, Aubrey, Ava and Jeremiah, Sisters, Florence, Freda, Ethel and Jean, other family and good friends.  Joe served with the U.S.A.F. for twenty years as Firefighter and Crash Rescue on H43B Helicopters.  Later he worked in construction and farming.  His hobbies were woodworking, oil paintings, and fishing.  He was a happy, friendly person and never met a stranger.  Wind under your wings, my Dear.  There will be a Memorial Service at New Testament Church at 645 Utah Hollow Road at 2 p.m. on October 25 and visitation with family and friends one hour prior to services.  The family will accept online condolences at: cpjfuneralhome.com.
