Obituary

On this day September 5, 2015 we lost a friend and brother, Joe W. Carter 59 of Charleston. God called him home. He was preceded in death by his mother, Carol Sue Carter, father, James L. Carter, sister, Joyce M. Carter and brother, Larry E. Carter. Left behind to mourn his passing is his twin Giles L. "Biggy" Carter, whom he loved dearly. Giles was Joe's caregiver who gave wonderful care and love during his illness. Brother, James F. Carter and wife Jan of Wood County, Parkersburg, sister, Connie Carter Craze of Belle, sister, Janice Carter Buckley of Charleston, sister, Darlene Carter Nickoson and husband Mike of St. Albans. Joe worked for PSI for 27 years, State Electric for 5 ½ years, and The West Virginia Lottery for 1 year. He was a member of The Moose Club and was currently employed at Baum America Corporation. Funeral Services will be 11:00 am Friday September 11, 2015 at Cunningham-Parker-Johnson Funeral Home with Pastor Dave Lucas officiating. Burial will follow in Springhill Cemetery, Charleston. Visitation with the family will be from 6 to 8 PM Thursday at the Funeral Home. The family wants to express our thanks and love to Joe's Red Carpet Family which he loved very much. Thank you for your support and comfort and the care you showed to our brother and family. The family is touched by the kindness and love you have shown during his illness and passing. Joe will be truly missed. He also leaves behind a host of friends and nieces and nephews.
