On Monday, February 10, 2025, John Emmett Thompson, loving father and husband, passed away at 91. He was born in Marmet, WV, on January 22, 1934, to the late Boyd and Hazel Thompson.

John attended the Maranatha Baptist Church and was self-employed as the owner of Marmet TV Repair. He enjoyed living with his passion for many hobbies, including car racing, flying (RC and private planes), ham/CB radio, and traveling. He even became a travel agent after retiring from the TV repair business.

John is survived by children Carolyn Sue Barton (Interlachen, Fl), Donald Lee and his wife Tammy (Hernshaw, WV), and Terry Eugene (Inglis, FL); his sibling's sister Mary Ridenhour; brothers Carl Dean, Boyd Harvey Jr., and Jeffery Steven, 5 grandchildren, and 6 great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, John is preceded in death by his wonderful wife of 53 years, Princess Lucille, daughter Patricia Ann, and sister, Dorthy (Dolly) Wyatt.

In keeping with John's wishes, he will be cremated, and no services are scheduled at this time.
