John Benton Pitts, 52, of Charleston passed away peacefully on Sunday December 12, 2021, at home.He was employed by Ferguson Heating and Cooling for over 28 years.

Preceding him in death were his parents, Donald Pitts, Jr., and Geraldine Vance Pitts; brother Brooks Pitts.

His is survived by his loving daughter, Emily (Roger) Gancs; grandson Jace Gancs; brother Burr (Margaret) Pitts; sister, Donita Kidd; several nieces and nephews.He leaves behind many friends who will also mourn his passing.Also surviving is his fur baby, Max, whom he loved with all his heart.

John loved dirt track racing, spending time with his family, especially Saturday morning breakfast with his grandson.He enjoyed being out on the water with his family, he loved life, and lived life to the fullest.He made it fun anywhere he was and made everyone smile.

Memorial Services will be 1:00 PM Saturday, December 18, 2021 at Cunningham-Parker-Johnson Funeral Home with the Rev. Jeremy Shamblin officiating.Visitation with the family will be two hours prior to services.
