John E. Kirk, 78, of Nellis went to rest with the Lord November 12, 2009 at CAMC Memorial Division. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean War, where he was a Recipient of the Purple Heart. He was a Loving Husband, Father, Grandfather and will be sadly missed. He is survived by his Wife of 31 years Evelyn Kirk; Son Paul Kirk and his wife Shannon of South Charleston; Grandchildren, Destiny and Gage Kirk; Brothers, Jack and Phillip Kirk; Sisters, Jane Ann Javins and Alice Barker. Funeral Services will be 11:00 AM Tuesday November 17, 2009 at Cunningham-Parker-Johnson Funeral Home with the Rev. William K. Berry officiating. Burial will follow in Elk Hills Memorial Park, Big Chimney. Visitation with the family will be Monday from 6 to 8 PM at the Funeral Home.
