John Gary Fowler, 64, of Weston passed away on October 8, 2010, at his home after a short illness. Gary was born in Charleston on September 13, 1946, the son of the late Rev. William Paul Fowler, Sr., and Catherine A Fowler of Charleston. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Barbara Fowler. Gary was a 1964 graduate of Sissonville High School. He was a member of West Virginia Iron Workers and worked for several construction companies throughout the Kanawha Valley area as a heavy equipment operator. Left behind to cherish his loving memory are his wife of 45 years Justina G. Fowler; daughters, Barbara Adkins and husband Sam; Katrena Edens and husband Brad; and Kimberly Fowler. Three Grandchildren, Andrew, Stevie, and Kayla; brothers, William Paul Fowler, Jr., Daniel L. Fowler and wife Deborah, Allen Fowler, and Sister Patricia J. Fowler. Gary will be laid to rest by his mother and father in the Fowler family cemetery on Wolf Pen Drive, Charleston. By Gary's request there will be no funeral and a private viewing by immediate family only at the graveside. Gary never met a stranger and will be sorely missed but never forgotten by those who loved him.
