John Andrew Johnson 74 of Charleston passed away April 1, 2016 at CAMC General Division after a long illness. He was a former employee of Shippers Car Line, Red House and a U.S. Army Veteran. Preceding him in death was his mother, Carrie Brooks and 2 granddaughters. Survivors include his loving wife, Jeannie Truluck Johnson; sons, John Anthony Johnson and James E. Johnson; daughters, Andrea Jean Johnson and Shareena Ann Johnson; step-daughters, Dameeka Lester and Norma Jo Truluck; brothers, Rev. William Brooks, Lemenzo "Goodie" Brooks and Sammuel Brooks; sisters, Hazel Day and Louise Close; 4 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be 1:00 PM Monday April 4, 2016 at Cunningham-Parker-Johnson Funeral Home with Rev. William N. Brooks officiating. Burial with Military Graveside Rites provided by American Legion Post 61, Clendenin will follow in Grandview Memorial Park, Dunbar.
