Joe E. Case, 78, of Charleston, passed away April 12, 2015 at Hubbard Hospice House surrounded by his loving family. Joe was a veteran of the US Air Force, having served two tours of duty. He retired from the City of Charleston Fire Department as Captain. He and his family also enjoyed camping, hunting and fishing. He was preceded in death by his wife, Rodia Berry Case; parents, William K. and Claris Case; grandson, Will Reed and daughter-in-law, Libby Reed. Survivors include his loving sons, Larry Reed and wife, Helen of Charleston, Eddie Reed of Charleston, and Jess Lanham and wife, Carol Sue of Sissonville; sisters, Bessie Schultz of Kingwood and Sally Case of Tunnelton, WV; grandson, Matt Lanham and wife Rhonda; great-grandchildren, Padon Comer, Triston Lanham, Brett Reed and Fayth Lanham. Funeral service will be 2:00 PM Thursday, April 16, 2015 at Cunningham-Parker-Johnson Funeral Home with Rev. Mark Thaxton officiating. Entombment will follow at Floral Hills Garden of Memories, Pocatalico. Visitation will be Thursday from 11:00 AM until service time also at the funeral home.
