Jody Clay, 50, of Charleston passed away May 17, 2011 at home after a courageous battle against brain cancer. Jody is a 1979 graduate of Mullens High School, an Honor Graduate of Marshall University and is a Certified Public Accountant. Jody was the Office Manager, Accountant and Corporate Secretary for Green Mountain Company for the past 25 years. She was a Baseball Team Mom and attended First Presbyterian Church, Charleston. She is survived by her loving husband Rod Clay, President and Owner of Green Mountain Co.; Her Son, Derek May at Home; step-children, Kathy Reilly of Manassas,VA and her children, Connor, Megan, Andrew, and Clay, Kevin Clay of Concord, NC and Alison Clay of Cornelius, NC; mother, Norma Stafford of Monroe, NC; sisters, Cathy Farley and husband Byron of Monroe, NC; Terri Pater and husband Tony of Northport, Alabama. She was "Sissy Jody" to her nieces and nephews; Jason, Lindsay, Adam, Seth, Julie Ann, and Nikki. Services and Celebration of her life will be 2:00 PM Saturday May 21, 2011 at First Presbyterian Church, 16 Leon Sullivan Way, Charleston with Pastor Jim Roberts officiating. Entombment will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Beckley. A Visitation for Friends and Family will be from Noon until service time at the Church.
