Joanne M. Light, 80, of South Charleston passed away August 17, 2011 at her home surrounded by her family and loving caregivers. She was a former Teachers Aid, later in life received her LPN from Garnet Career Center, and was a Graduate of the University of Charleston, School of Nursing where she received her RN. She was formerly employed by Arthur B. Hodges Nursing Center, CAMC Rehabilitation Center, the Eye & Ear Clinic and attended Oakridge Bible Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, George W. Harding and Madge Harper Harding; son, Steve Light, and brothers, Steve and Richard Pfost. Joanne is survived by her husband of 60 years Jimmy Light; daughter, Connie Ellis and husband Clarence of Hanover; brother, Tommy Harding and wife Lynn of California; sisters, Libby Milam and husband Freddy of Romance; Sharon Garnes and husband Carroll of Charleston and Susan Franco of Rhode Island. Nine Grandchildren, James, Jon, Jim, Wendy, Farrah, Katy, Jody, Cindy and Ricky. 21 Great Grandchildren. Funeral Services will be 11:00 AM Monday August 22, 2011 at Cunningham-Parker-Johnson Funeral Home with the Rev. Jerry Vance officiating. Entombment will follow in Tyler Mountain Memory Gardens, Cross Lanes. Visitation with the family will be Sunday from 5 to 8 PM at the Funeral Home.
