Joann Holder, Miller, 85, of Charleston, passed away at home on May 21, 2015. She was born April 7, 1930 in Liberty, SC to the late Ernest Perry and Minnie (Laboone) Holder. Mrs. Miller was raised in Liberty, SC before moving to Charleston. She was a member of South Ruffner Freewill Baptist Church and retired from CAMC. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Miller; grandparents, Stella White and Will Laboone, former spelled Laboon, of Rochefort, France; and siblings, William Holder and Betty Holder Blackwell. Survivors include her loving sons, John Miller and wife, Debi of Shallotte, NC, Tim Miller of Charleston, and Alex Taylor of Cross Lanes; daughters, Dr. Stella Grace Miller of Simpsonville, SC, Joyce Wollner of Kendall Park, NJ and Candy Angel of Leroy, WV; sister, Estelle Lambert of North Brunswick, NJ; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. Funeral service will be 2:00 PM Tuesday, May 26, 2015 at Cunningham-Parker-Johnson Funeral Home with Rev. Lee Turley officiating. Interment will be at a later date at Greenville Memorial Park, Greenville, SC. Visitation will be two hours prior to service time also at the funeral home.
