Jim Meadows 85 of Charleston passed away June 6, 2016 at his home. Jim was a Navy Veteran having served during the Korean Conflict; retired from Union Carbide South Charleston and was a member of Charleston Mountain Mission and had attended Dunbar Mountain Mission. Preceding him in death were his parents, James Ira and Laura Ferrell Meadows; wife, Mary Meadows; brother, Robert Meadows; sisters, Helen Abbott, Audra Massey and Violet Williamson. Survivors include his daughters, Tammy Rigsby and husband Michael of Surfside Beach, SC and Renee Bratt and husband George of Charleston. Six grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren. Funeral Services will be 1:00 PM Thursday June 9, 2016 at Cunningham-Parker-Johnson Funeral Home with Elder Roger Neal officiating. Entombment with Military Rites provided by American Legion Post 61, Clendenin will follow in Floral Hills Garden of Memories, Pocatalico. Visitation with the family will be two hours prior to services. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations in Jim's honor to Kanawha Hospice Care, 1606 Kanawha Blvd. W.
