Jesse Ann Cummings, born October 26, 1932 peacefully passed away February 4, 2017 at the age of 84. She was preceded in death by her parents Henry and Hazel Liptrap, husband Cecil Cummings, son Cecil (Butch) Cummings and sister and brother-in-law Betty and Joe Rogalny.
Jesse is survived by her son Richard Cummings and wife Cindy; granddaughters, Dawnita King and Mark, Kim Harvey and Rick, and Tonya Cummings; great grandchildren Amanda Lindsey, Donald Underwood, Cheyenne and Hayden Harvey; great great granddaughter Delaney Lindsey; daughters-in-law Delores Cummings, Jerry Litton and Alisa Cummings; and Janet Paul who was like a daughter to her.
Jesse retired with over 30 years of service from JC Penney.
A celebration of her life will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday February 18 at Dunbar Presbyterian Church, 1414 Myers Avenue, Dunbar. The family will receive visitors beginning at 1:00 PM, and at a dinner follow the service.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in her honor to the charity of your choice.
