Obituary

Jesse S. Baldwin Jesse S. Baldwin, 90, of Fredericksburg, Virginia formerly of Charleston, WV passed away December 28, 2011 at Mary Washington Hospital in Fredericksburg after a short illness. He was a professional firefighter with 28 years of service to the City of Charleston and retired at the rank of captain. He was a member of the Charleston Mountain Mission Church and loved his church's daily radio broadcast, but most importantly, he loved the Lord with all his heart. He was an avid outdoorsman and loved hunting, fishing and camping. He is survived by his wife, Lorene Baldwin, who he loved dearly, and his son, Michael West of Fredericksburg, who he resided with. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Brieanna, Taylor and Tyler West of Fredericksburg, Samantha Walls and Lindsay Morris of St. Albans, Adam and Jason Hensley of St. Albans, and Jesse Lee and Michelle Baldwin of Charleston. He is survived by six great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his late wife, Freda Baldwin, daughter, Diane Baldwin, sons, Steve Baldwin and Randall West, mother, Nora Baldwin, and all of his brothers and sisters. Visitation will be from 10:00am-12:00pm, Monday, January 2nd at the Charleston Mountain Mission Church with funeral services at 12:00pm, with the Rev. Fairley McCormick officiating. Burial will follow in John Beane Cemetery, Sissonville. The family requests, in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be made to the Charleston Mountain Mission Broadcast Fund; 1600 7th Avenue, Charleston, WV 25312.
