Jay Tallian Burdette, 32, of Beaver, WV formerly of Roane County, WV, passed away unexpectedly July 3, 2011. He was preceded in death by his sister, Katherine "Kricket" Sloan. Survivors include his loving mother, Alice Burdette and her husband, Dale; father, Leonard Burdette and his wife, Terri Trochio; brothers, D.J., Cheyenne, Mac, Josh and Gary Burdette; sister, Britney Burdette; and fiancé, Dana Combs. Also surviving are many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Jay will be greatly missed by all who knew him. A memorial service will be held 7:00 p.m. Friday, July 8, 2011 at Cunningham-Parker-Johnson Funeral Home with Pastor Charles Sweeney officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
