Janet J. Melton, 87, of Charleston passed away October 2, 2010. She attended Northside Church of the Nazarene. Loved to work puzzles and rode horses when she was younger. She was preceded in death by her Husbands, Herman A. Pope, Elton Wayne Kidd, Benton Clarence "Bus" Melton and her sister Doris Jane Comer. Surviving her is Sister, Bethel Bernice Clendenin of Sissonville; Nephews, Keith and Steve Clendenin and Danny Comer; Friend and Caregivers, Loretta and Jim Burgess. The family wishes to extend a Special Thank You to the staff at Meadowbrook Acres for the Special Care given to Janet. Funeral Services will be 11:00 AM Wednesday October 6, 2010 at Cunningham-Parker-Johnson Funeral Home with the Rev. Fairley McCormick officiating. Entombment will follow in Elk Hills Garden of Memories, Big Chimney, West Virginia. Visitation with the family will be Tuesday October 5, 2010 from 6 to 8 PM at the Funeral Home.
