Janet Haynes, 76 of Cross Lanes, passed away, April 5, 2018, surrounded by her family, after a short illness. She was preceded in death by her sons, Larry and Dougie Haynes; grandson, Zachary Harris; granddaughter, McKenzie Haynes. Janet was known as Maw Maw to all who knew and loved her. Surviving are; her loving companion of 22 years, Jerry Larch; children, Susie Jones and husband, Jerry, Timmy Haynes and wife, Robin, Tammy Martin and companion, John Good, John "Jay" Haynes and companion, Nikki Kelley; grandchildren, Chris Haynes, John Curtis "J.C." Jones, Charity Haynes, T. J. Haynes, James "Jimmy" Martin, and Lindsey Rueckert; great-grandchildren, Brittany, C.J., Margaina, Robbie, Zachary, Emerson, Taylor and Bently; brothers, Dale Burdette, Arnold Burdette, and Junior Burdette; sisters, Lorene Newhouse, and Rose Good. Funeral service will be 1 p.m., Monday, April 9, 2018 at Cunningham-Parker-Johnson Funeral Home with the Rev. Mike Good officiating. Burial will be in Haynes Family Cemetery, Tuppers Creek. Visitation with the family will be from 5 to 7 p.m., Sunday, April 8, also at the funeral home.
