James E. Slater James E. Slater, 58, of Sissonville, passed away peacefully February 16, 2011 at CAMC Memorial, after a long illness. Surviving are his children, James E. Slater, Jr., Jimmy L. Slater, Cory M. Slater, Christopher S. Slater, Jennifer N. Slater and Brandi Price; and a sister, Linda Carter of St. Albans. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Friday, February 18, at Cunningham-Parker-Johnson Funeral Home, Charleston, with the Rev. William K. Berry officiating. Burial will be in Floral Hills Garden of Memories, Pocatalico. Visitation with the family will be two hours prior to the service Friday at the funeral home.
