James Corbet "Jim" Reed, 70 of Sissonville went home to be with the Lord on April 3, 2013 at his home. He attended Second Creek Church, loved Farming, Hunting, Fishing and his Chickens Preceding him in death were his parents Rude and Dorma Reed; brothers, Harry and Natchee Reed and his sister Vivian "Bib" Parsons. Survivors include his loving wife of 42 years, Debbie J. Reed; daughters, Kathy Pauley and husband Junior of St. Albans and Janice Cottrell and her husband Stewart of Sissonville; brother, Mick Reed of Sissonville; sisters, Myrtle Wolfe and Bonnie Good both of Sissonville. Three Grandchildren, Tommy Casto, Chris Cottrell and Adriana Pauley. Also surviving are several nieces, nephews and a host of friends, and his special 4-legged companion, Bandit who are left to mourn his passing. Funeral Services will be 11:00 AM Monday April 8, 2013 at Cunningham-Parker-Johnson Funeral Home with Pastor George Webb officiating. Burial with Military Graveside Rites provided by American Legion Post 61, Clendenin will follow in the Reed Cemetery, Second Creek. Visitation with the family will be from 6 to 8 PM on Sunday at the Funeral Home.
