Obituary

James D. "Jim" Farmer 83 of Charleston passed away Saturday August 6, 2016 at Hubbard Hospice House after a long illness. He was the Owner/Operator of J&B Lawnmower Sales and Services of Charleston for 36 years. Jim attended Stonewall Jackson High School and Davis Memorial Missionary Baptist Church, Charleston. He was preceded in death by his loving wife Betty Jo Farmer; parents, Clarence & Betty Farmer and grandparents, Robert and Mary Lola Farmer. Surviving are his daughter, Virginia "Sherry" Cadle and husband Shawn; seven grandchildren, Sarah, Joshua, Hannah, Mary, Rachel, Abigail and Joanna Cadle all of Ohio; sister, Mary Lee Rhodes of Ohio, Pat Casto of Cross Lanes and Helen Ann Lemore of South Charleston and several nieces and nephews who are also left to mourn his passing. Funeral Services will be 1:00 PM Wednesday August 10, 2016 at Cunningham-Parker-Johnson Funeral Home with his son-in-law Brother Shawn Cadle officiating. Burial will follow in Grandview Memorial Park, Dunbar. Visitation with the family will be one hour prior to services also at the Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations to Hubbard Hospice House, 1001 Curtis Price Way, Charleston, WV 25311.
