James D. Holstein, Sr., 75, of Dunbar passed away in the morning of November 20, 2022 at home with his loving family by his side.

Preceding him in death were his parents, and his son of 13 years.

James was retired from the United States Postal Services with 30 years of service, and proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War where he was wounded during his service.

Surviving are his loving wife of 53 years Mary Frances Holstein; daughter Sonya Dotson and son-in-law Timmy Copley; sister, Dolores and several Nephews and Nieces who are also left to mourn his passing.

Lastly his loving and loyal companion, who never left his side, his dog Odin.

Funeral services will be 12:00 pm noon, Friday, December 2, 2022 at Cunningham-Parker-Johnson Funeral Home with Delores Beavers officiating.  Burial with Military Honors will follow in Donel C. Kinnard Memorial State Veterans Cemetery, Dunbar.  Visitation with the family will be one hour prior to the services, also at the Funeral Home.
