James Allen Harper Jr , 66 went home to be with the Lord and the love of his life on Monday February 27, 2023 at his Dunbar home. Monday morning Jim sat down to have his cup of coffee by himself, and woke up enjoying his coffee on the front porch steps of Heaven with his wife Kathy.

Jim was born October 23, 1956 in Charleston WV to James (Jim) and Norma Harper. Jim joined the Army in 1976 and retired with 20 years of service as a Sergeant. Then retired after 15 years from Vermeer of West Virginia.

Jim married Kathy Facemyre on January 6, 1976. The two were happily married for 38 years. They were blessed to have 3 daughters, Theresa, Cathy Jo and Jennifer.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife Kathy Harper and his parents.

Jim is survived by his 3 daughters, Theresa Harrison and husband Paul, Cathy Jo and Dawson , and Jennifer and Brian. His grandchildren, Samuel, Adam, Elijah and Melanie. His sisters Sandy Shaffer and Judy Harper.

At Jim's request no memorial service will be held.
