Obituary
James Earl Cavender, 70, of Charleston went home peacefully to the Lord on December 18, 2018.
After a long illness, Jimmy retired from Union Carbide and CDI Engineering. He graduated from Sissonville High School, Class of 1966.
Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Betty Cavender.
He is survived by his loving, loyal wife Linda, who helped fight his battle every step of the way; daughters, Trenna Sproles (David) of Cross Lanes, Dena Cavender of Charleston, Amber Brockman (Brian) of South Charleston and his son, Jimmy (Meghan) of Poca. His grandchildren,, Brian and Eli and his granddaughter, Michaela (Tyler), sister, Brenda (John) Walker of Charleston.
Jimmy was a fan of WVU Athletics, and also loved his Cleveland Browns and New York Yankees.
The family ask that you donate to The American Cancer Society, 3508 Staunton Avenue, Third Floor, Charleston, WV 25304.
Funeral Services will be 1:00 PM Friday December 21, 2018 at Cunningham-Parker-Johnson Funeral Home with Pastor Scott Feldhause and Pastor John Rutherford officiating. Burial will follow in Grandview Memorial Park, Dunbar. Visitation with the family will be one hour prior to services.
