Obituary

James R. "Dick" Bradley, 82, of Charleston, went home to be with the Lord after a long illness on February 1, 2015. Mr. Bradley was a graduate of Stonewall Jackson High School. He served in the US Army during the Korean War. He also retired from Appalachian Power Company after 37 years of service. Dick was an avid sports fan and coached Little League and Senior League ball. Preceding him in death were his parents, James E. and Virginia L. Rutledge Bradley; and sisters, Mary Lou Conner and Ruth Ann Reed. Survivors include his loving wife of 59 years, Freda Bradley; sons, R. Scott Bradley of Charleston, Bruce Bradley of South Charleston, and Jeff and Bryan Bradley, both of Charleston; and grandchildren, Bethany Daniel, Amanda, Jordan, Tyler and Grace Bradley. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be 1:00 PM Saturday, February 7, 2015 at North Charleston Apostolic Church with Elder Brian Garrett, Rev. Randy Witt and Rev. Jarrod Price officiating. Entombment will be at Tyler Mountain Memory Gardens, Cross Lanes with military honors provided by American Legion Post 61, Clendenin. Visitation will be from 6 - 8 PM Friday also at the church. A special thank you is extended to Pastor Anthony Moss and the congregation at church as well as Kanawha Hospice for all the prayers and care the entire family received.
