James K. Burdette 73 of Thorofare Road, Clendenin passed away July 26, 2017 at home peacefully surrounded by his loving family.
Jim retired from K.R.T., enjoyed working on cars, gardening and horse back riding.
Preceding him in death were his parents, Oshel and Clulla Sigmon Burdette; brothers, Charlie and Donald Rhodes; sisters, Lynn Burdette, Garnet Price and Patsy Anderson.
Survivors include his wife Icie Burdette; sons, Michael Burdette, wife Brenda and Eric Burdette; daughter, Amanda O'Brien and husband Tony; brother, Danny Burdette; sister, Reba Crosier; 14 Grandchildren 5 great grandchildren, also best friend Bobby Pierson, special thanks to Linda Sample and Beverly Kearns and a host of nieces and nephews who are also left to mourn his passing.
Funeral services will be 3:00 PM Sunday July 30, 2017 at Cunningham-Parker-Johnson Funeral Home with Rev. Harold Boggs officiating. Burial will follow in Boyd-Burdette Cemetery, Tuppers Creek, Charleston. Visitation with the family will be 2 hours prior to services also on Sunday.
