Obituary

Jackie A. Tuttle, 79, of Davis Creek, left this world to be with Jesus, Wednesday, July 24, 2013, at home, peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, following a long illness. Jackie was an Army veteran of the Koran War, and discharged with military honors. He was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Irene Tuttle; brother, Bob Tuttle; and son, David Tuttle. Surviving are his beloved wife of 56 years, Nancy L. Tuttle; children, Robert Tuttle of Cross Lanes, William Tuttle of Davis Creek, Patty Means of Nitro, Connie Tuttle of Davis Creek, and Joyce Hildt of Davis Creek; brother, Larry Tuttle of California; special granddaughter, Crystal Means Walker of Nitro, who he helped raise and called his own, his love for her was unconditional; other grandchildren, David, Sara, Brittany, Bill, Stephanie, Cindy, Tiffany, Josh and Ashley; great-grandchildren, Haleigh, Malachi, Brooklyn, William, Haiden, Wyatt and Blake; nephews, Jim Tuttle and John Tuttle; his black lab, Harley; and several other relatives and friends left to mourn his passing. A service to honor the life of Jack, will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, July 30, 2013 at Cunningham-Parker-Johnson Funeral Home, Charleston with Pastor Gene M. Pauley officiating. Burial will follow in Donel C. Kinnard Memorial State Veterans Cemetery, Institute. Visitation with the family will be from 6 to 8 p.m., Monday, July 29, at the funeral home.
