It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Jack E. Robertson Sr., a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and dear friend to many. Jack was born on April 17, 1937, in Peru, Indiana, to the late Mabel Zedoneck and Herbert Robertson.
Jack was a warm, welcoming, and friendly man who never met a stranger and always enjoyed a good conversation. He will be remembered most for his deep pride in being a United States Marine, his unwavering love for his wife, Ruth, and the special place his family held in his heart.
Throughout his life, Jack wore many hats, serving as a Marine, working as a service worker, and sharing his knowledge as a teacher. He also generously gave his time to others through his volunteer work with the Boy Scouts, the Veteran Honor Guard, and the Marine Corps League. His dedication to serving his country and community was a testament to the man he was.
Those left to cherish his memory include his beloved wife, Ruth Robertson; his two sisters, Jean and Jane Robertson; two sisters-in-law and one brother-in-law; his three grandchildren, Clayton Robertson, Cassandra Jarrell, and Melia Coleman; and his great-granddaughter, Alessa Slone. He also leaves behind many nieces and nephews who will hold his memory close to their hearts.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 15, 2026, at Emmanuel Baptist Church, with visitation beginning one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Carney Family Cemetery in Kenna, West Virginia, with military honors.
Online condolences may be shared with the family at www.cpjfuneralhome.com.
Jack will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. His love for his family, his pride in his service to our country, and his warm, welcoming spirit will live on in the hearts of those he leaves behind.
