Jack A. Edens, 70, of Nitro, passed away after a short illness. Jack retired from the Charleston Fire Department as Lieutenant after 25 years of service, and served in the Air National Guard. He was preceded in death by his parents, Woodrow Wilson Edens and Betty Grace Crowder Edens. Surviving are; son, Mark Edens of Charleston; sister, Susie Taylor of Poca; grandchildren, Thomas Kevin Edens and Evan Anderson Edens of Charleston; niece, Gwendolyn Morris and husband, William of Poca; great-niece, Megan Morris of Poca; aunt, Mary Skeen of Charleston. There will be no services, according to Jack's wishes.
