Ira Lee Hughart 73 of Charleston went home to be with the Lord on October 31, 2013 at St. Francis Hospital after a short illness. Ira was the Owner - Operator of Ira Hughart Stone for many years, his employees were, Randy Shaffer "thought of him like a Dad; Delmer Harding "dear friend and was just like a son" and Joe Harvey "a dear family friend." Preceding him in death were his son, Bobby Lee Hughart; parents, John and Erna Boggess Hughart; brothers, Noble, Lowell and Glen Hughart; sisters, Maxine Hughart, Edith West, Helen Jones, Beatrice Hughart and Opal Tyler. Survivors include his wife, Darlis Hughart; mother-in-law, Stella Jordan; sister, Gale Harrison and husband Gary of Cross Lanes; grandchildren, Kayla and husband Chris; Cody and wife Katilyn, Jordan and Jessica; great granddaughter, Kristina Ann "Ira called her his little pumpkin." Also surviving are several nieces and nephews who are also left to mourn his passing. Funeral Services will be 2:00 PM Monday November 4, 2013 at Cunningham-Parker-Johnson Funeral Home with the Rev. William K. Berry officiating. Entombment will follow in Floral Hills Garden of Memories, Pocatalico. Visitation with the family will be from 6 to 9 PM Sunday at the Funeral Home.
