Ira "Buck" Boggs, 65, of St. Albans passed away June 14, 2010 at CAMC General Division. He was a member of North Charleston Baptist Church. He was an avid Cincinnati Reds Fan, loved baseball, his family, children, camping and traveling. He was a former Men's Baseball Coach, and was Big Hearted. He was preceded in death by his parents, Russell and Macel Boggs; son, Charles Edward "Eddie" Jones; and brothers, Billy and Ronnie Boggs. He is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Ruth Ann Boggs; son, Timothy Jones and wife Janie of Pinch; daughters, Theresa Adkins and husband Jerry of St. Albans, Patricia Derexson and husband Dale of Newark, Ohio; brother, Pete Boggs and wife Cecilia of South Charleston; sisters, Betty Maloney and husband Butch of Cross Lanes, Gay Boggs and Bubby Broyles of Dunbar, Joyce Hanshaw and husband Rudy of Charleston. 7 Grandchildren and 4 Great Grandchildren. Lifelong friends, Tommy Cantley and Steve Clendenin both of Charleston; sister-in-law, Shara Boggs Painter of Whitesville. Funeral Services will be 11:00 AM Friday June 18, 2010 at Cunningham-Parker-Johnson Funeral Home with Pastor Matthew Shamblin officiating. Burial will follow in Springhill Cemetery.
