Ida Kathryn (Katie) Arthur, 101, of South Charleston passed away peacefully on December 7, 2023.

Katie was a loving wife, mom, and grandma. She volunteered her time taking care of "her" seniors at the South Charleston Senior Center. She was a volunteer there for over 30 years.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 46 years, Basil; son, Stephen; and mother, Lucy Tate.

Katie is survived by her granddaughter, Stephanie Nester; four great-grandchildren, Kevin, Lindsey, Kaitlyn (David), and Logan (Codey); seven great-great-grandchildren, Bentley, Trinity, Easton, Hunter, Maverick, Kinslee, and Colten.

The family would like to thank the staff at Hospice for the wonderful care provided for our granny. In lieu of flowers the family asks for donations be made to Shriners Hospital.
