Helen Marie Newhouse, 93, of Charleston went to be with her Husband in Heaven on October 28, 2010. She was a Member of Davis Memorial Baptist Church for 46 years, where she was a member of the Ladies Aid. She was a Loving Wife, Mother and Grandmother. She was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years Carl Newhouse, Sr.; parents, Harry and Anna Hicks; sisters, Kathleen Eskins, Viola Lanham, Ruby Gould, Velma Gordon and Josephine Kinder; brothers, James and Howard Hicks. She is survived by her loving children, Delores Atkins and her husband James of Dunbar; Carl E. Newhouse, Jr. and his wife Carolyn and Robert L. Newhouse and his wife Shirley, all of Charleston; sister, Phyllis Hicks of Ohio. Grandchildren, Diane Fields, Joyce Anderson, Janet Gibson, Carla Harris, Regina Fridley, Deborah Jarrett, Melinda Null, Sherry Sydenstricker and Lora Newhouse. 19 Great Grandchildren and 20 Great Great Grandchildren. Funeral Services will be 2:00 PM, Sunday October 31, 2010 at Davis Memorial Baptist Church with Pastor Roger Vannoy officiating. Burial will follow in Tyler Mountain Memory Gardens, Cross Lanes. Visitation with the family will be Saturday from 6 to 8 PM at the Funeral Home and one hour prior to services at the Church on Sunday.
