Obituary

Harrison Lee Taylor 83 of Dunbar went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday November 28, 2018.
Harrison was a Warehouse Manager, retired Truck Driver, and was a member of Teamsters Local #175.
Harrison was a skilled and passionate gardner as was proven by the yield of his yearly harvest. He took great pride in the fact that he was able to produce more fruit and vegetables on his one acre lot that many could on a small farm. He enjoyed watching sports, particularly football and basketball.
He had a great love for his grandchildren and great grandchildren, and could turn a spoiled rotten baby into "PawPaw's little man" or "PawPaw's angel".
Harrison accepted the Lord as his Savior in 2016 - the best of the many good decisions he made in his lifetime. He will be greatly missed by his many family and friends.
Preceding him in death were his parents, Nora and Clyde Taylor; beloved wife of nearly 60 years Jackie Taylor; and brothers Bob Taylor and Wes Casdorph.
Survivors include his loving wife and companion of 5 years, Dolores Guthrie Taylor; daughters, Wylene Shamblin (Larry) of Sissonville and Kelly Young (Greg) of Charleston; son, Scott Taylor (Sharon) of Charleston; brothers, David and Rick Taylor and Don Casdorph; sisters, Loretta Marcum, Roberta Coffman, Delores Haynes and Cathy Lackey, and step-mother, Anna Mae Taylor.
Grandchildren, Scott Taylor, II, Krista Belcher, Erin Stroup, Derek Shamblin, Briana Chiello and Hannah Nicholas, and 10 great grandchildren.
Visitation with the family will be begin at 11:00 AM, with the funeral to follow at noon on Saturday, December 1, 2018 at Cunningham-Parker-Johnson Funeral Home with Pastor John Jenkins officiating. According with his wishes Cremation will follow services.
The family wishes to thank the staff at Sweetbriar Assisted Living for the care of Harrison while he resided there. Also, many thanks to the excellent nursing staff in the PAC-U at St. Mary's Hospital, particularly Nurse Charity who was so kind to us during his final hours.
