Harlen "Chipper" Bailey, of Big Chimney, was born August 4, 1946, and went home to be with the Lord, at his home, January 19, 2012, after a short illness. He was preceded in death by his parents, Calvin Lee and Goldie Bailey; and a baby brother, Steven Lee Bailey. He is survived by his wife, of 43 years, Bonna Bailey; two sons, Keith Bailey of Elkview, and Shannon Bailey of Big Chimney; five grandchildren, Brooke Bailey, Benjamin Bailey, Amber Bailey, Zakarie Bailey and Alisha Bailey; brothers, Randy Bailey and Larry Bailey. A memorial gathering will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, January 24, 2012, at Cunningham-Parker-Johnson Funeral Home, Charleston. Inurnment will be at a later date in Kessinger Cemetery, Poca.
