Hallie Blanche Myers, 87, of Cross Lanes, went home to be with the Lord, January 22, 2012, at the home of her daughter, Bertha, after a long illness. She was preceded in death by her parents, George W. and Victoria Truman Shaffer; brothers, Archie, Guy, Dorsel, Wilber, Darrell, Ray and Roy Albert Shaffer; sister, Gale Archibald; and husband, Charles R. Myers. She was a member of North Side Nazarene Church. Surviving are her children, Bertha Saulton and husband, Mack of Liberty, Bob Myers and wife, Joyce of St. Albans, and Mary Ann Zorychta and husband, Dave of Jefferson, Iowa; sisters, Nellie Range, Faye Baldwin-Chapman, and Emogene Newhouse-Hall; five grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, three step-great-grandchildren. Special thank you to her special friends, Brittany and Aaron. Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Thursday, January 26, 2012 at Cunningham-Parker-Johnson Funeral Home, Charleston, with the Rev. Jerry Cline officiating. Burial will be in Sissonville Memorial Gardens, Sissonville. Visitation with the family will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
