Obituary

Gobel A. "Buddy" Harrison, Jr. Gobel A. "Buddy" Harrison, Jr., 78, of Cross Lanes, passed away December 3, 2013 at Cedar Ridge Nursing Home. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He had worked as a carpenter and truck driver most notably for Curtis Young Builders and Duke Linzy. Bud was a kind, gentle person to all who knew him and will be missed. He was preceded in death by his wife, Janice; parents, Gobel A. and Ruby Harrison; brother, Thomas Ray; sisters, Gwen Grady, Evon Young; and brother-in-law, Curtis Young. Survivors include his loving sons, Greg (Janet), Marlon, and Terry (Judy); daughters, Rene (Michael) McComas and Tina (Buck) Allen; brother, Gary (Gale); sisters, Delores (Garland) Jones, Edna (Shelby) Withrow and Barbara (Jim) Barrett; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and very special friend, Louise Covert. Funeral Services will be 1:00 PM Friday, December 6, 2013 at Cunningham-Parker-Johnson Funeral Home with the Rev. William K. Berry officiating. Burial will follow at Tyler Mountain Memory Gardens, Cross Lanes. Visitation with the family will one hour prior to service time at the funeral home. Memorials in his name are suggested to the American Cancer Society, PO Box 22718, Oklahoma City, OK 73123-1718.
