Obituary

Glenn L. Smith 86, of Charleston, reached his great reward, and found that city who's builder and maker is God, on July 9, 2017, after a long illness.
He was born in Waynesburg, PA, on September 27, 1930, the son of the late, Harry and Clyde Smith.
He was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Korean War, having served on the USS Princeton and the USS Philippine Sea. Glenn retired from Verizon Telephone Company, and was a longtime, faithful member and Deacon of North Charleston Apostolic Church. He lived a life of service to his country, the church he loved and his family and friends.
Glenn was also preceded in death by his brother, Joseph R. Smith.
Surviving are, his wife of 58 years, Carolyn Jean Smith; son, Tony Smith and wife, Greta and many nieces and nephews. He was also honorary Paw Paw Glenn to the NCAC Church Children.
Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Friday, July 14, at North Charleston Apostolic Church, 2400 6th Avenue, Charleston, with Pastor Anthony Moss officiating. Entombment will be in Floral Hills Garden of Memories, Pocatalico.
Visitation with the family will be one hour prior to the service also at the church.
