Glendall Goodall Gentry 89 walked into heaven on December 24, 2014 to be with Jesus and loved ones who have gone before and to join the heavenly choir. She was told that she carried a tune at the age of two. All of her life she sang through her school days and joined the Chancel Choir of Emmanuel Baptist Church at the age of thirteen. She was preceded in death by her parents Earl and Martha Goodall, her beloved husband of 51 years, Robert Ray "Bob" Gentry, her precious son, Richard Ray "Rick" and her precious grandson, Benjamin Romance Parsons. Surviving are her three remaining children, Cheryl Lynn Parsons and her husband Bob, Martha Lorraine Gentry, adopted daughter, Sarah Wood and Robert Ray "Rock" and wife Carla. Two grandchildren Amber Beth Bays and her husband Todd, Matthew Loring Parsons and his wife Jennifer. Three great grandchildren, Isaac Garrison Bays, Madison Faith Parsons and Caleb Benjamin Parsons. Three step grandchildren, Bobby Parsons, Johnny Parsons and Daniel Parsons. She was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church from early childhood. The Lord was good to her and she spent her life working in the Church. Funeral Services will be 1:00 PM Tuesday December 30, 2014 at Emmanuel Baptist Church with the Rev. Ronald L. Stoner officiating. Burial will follow in Cunningham Memorial Park, St. Albans. Visitation with the family will be Monday December 29, 2014 from 6 to 8 PM at Cunningham-Parker-Johnson Funeral Home and one hour prior to service at the church.
