Geraldine "Jerry" Pitts, 84, of Charleston, passed away at home, March 2, 2017.
She was retired from Roxalana Hills Apartments, had worked at the Mountain Mission, enjoyed playing Bingo, and spending time with her family.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Pitts, Sr., son, Donny Pitts, Jr., and daughter-in-law, Charlotte Pitts.
Surviving are her sons, and their wives, Brooks Pitts of Sutton, Daniel "Burr" Pitts and wife, Margaret of Charleston, and John Pitts, and wife, Pam of Charleston; ten grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, seven great great grandchildren and her loving dog, Holly. Also surviving is a host of nieces and nephews who are also left to mourn her passing.
Memorial service will be 5:00 PM Thursday at Davis Memorial Baptist Church, Violet Street, Charleston, with the Rev. David McCormick officiating.
Friends and family will gather one hour before service.
Her wishes were to be cremated.
The family wishes to express sincere thanks to all, for the help and love shown during Mom's illness, especially granddaughters, Priscilla Pitts, and Tara Fields.
