Georgie Marie Vogel Shawver, 82, of Charleston went home to be with the Lord March 23, 2011. She was retired from Bobby Brooks, and a member of Charleston Mountain Mission Church. She loved sewing and enjoyed being near her family and friends. She also loved going to church. She was preceded in death by her Husband, Carl Shawver; Sons, Charles "Butch" and Gary M. Dillon; Brother, Chester Vogel; and Sisters, Erma Justice and Marian Sombret. Surviving her are Sons, Ralph Dillon; Tim Dillon and his wife June; Daughters, Jane Burdette and her husband Larry; and Ellen Whiting. Fourteen (14) Grandchildren and Twenty Four (24) Great Grandchildren, and several Nieces and Nephews are left to mourn her passing. Funeral Services will be 1:00 PM, Saturday, March 26, 2011 at Cunningham-Parker-Johnson Funeral Home with the Rev. Fairley McCormick officiating. Burial will follow in Tyler Mountain Memory Gardens, Cross Lanes. Visitation with the family will be from 6 to 8 PM Friday at the Funeral Home.
