George Washington Shamblin, 66, of Ormond Beach, FL, passed away on Monday, February 5, 2024 suddenly due to a coronary event at home. He was born on February 22, 1957 to the late Ira and Dosche Shamblin.

George retired from Andrews Floor Covering. He loved working with his hands and was very artistic. George enjoyed spending time with his friends, family, fishing, helping his fellow neighbor, telling good jokes and football. Go Vikings and Mountaineers!!l He was understanding, kind and he will always be loved and missed.

In addition to his parents, George is preceded in death by his son George Shamblin, sister Sue Slater, and brothers Craton Shamblin, and Terry Shamblin.

Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife Tawnya Shamblin, adoring sons Dylan and Robert (Crystal) Shamblin, sister Edna Shamblin, and brother Ricky (Tammy) Shamblin, grandchildren Mary Shamblin, Curtis Shamblin, Adrian Shamblin, and Ethan Shamblin.

Funeral services will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, February 12, 2024 at Cunningham Parker Johnson Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Grandview Memorial Park.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 - 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home before the service.
