George T. Lanham, 78, of Charleston, passed away on Friday, September 25, 2015. Mr. Lanham was very active in the Boy Scouts, earning the Silver Beaver Award. He was preceded in death by his parents, Dallas T. and Viola V. (Hicks) Lanham; and brother, Dannie Lanham. Survivors include his loving wife of 56 years, S. Jean Lanham; children, Ronald Lanham and wife, Kathy, N. Scott Lanham, both of Charleston, and Rebecca Cominos and husband, Bill of Dallas, GA; brothers, Natchee Lanham and wife, Wanda, and Dallas Lanham and wife, Melanie; sisters, Lou Forster and husband, Bruce, Mae Lanham and husband, Paul, and Aretta Ann Bell; grandchildren, Stephen Lanham and wife, Miranda, David Lanham and wife, Nikki, and Dusty Dawn Lanham and companion, Jachovi Hardge; great-grandchildren, Hannah, Ethan and Tommy Lanham, and Harmony Hardge. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be 2:00 PM Sunday, September 27, 2015 at Cunningham-Parker-Johnson Funeral Home with Rev. Tom Price officiating. Burial will be private at Mount Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be from noon until service time also at the funeral home.
