Gary Wayne Huffman, 69, of Charleston went home to be with the Lord on October 4, 2018 at Hubbard Hospice House after a long illness.
He was a Marine Corp. Veteran having served in the Vietnam War. Gary enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with his family.
Preceding him in death were his father, Vincent Huffman; mother and step-father, Dorothy and Tom Byrd; brothers, Vincent Huffman and Thomas Byrd; sister, Vicki Withrow.
Survivors include his loving wife of 48 years, Nona Huffman; son, Shawn Huffman; grandchildren, Michael and Kaitlyn Huffman, Chasity Fox and Jacob Hill; great granddaughter, Skylee Fox; brothers and sisters, Susie Smith and husband Paul, Yvonne Milam and husband David, Frank Byrd, Mark Byrd and wife Velice and Jan Byrd.
Funeral Services will be 11:00 AM Wednesday October 10, 2018 at Cunningham-Parker-Johnson Funeral Home with the Rev. William K. Berry officiating. Burial with Military Graveside Rites provided Herbert J. Thomas Marine Corp. League will follow in Springhill Cemetery, Charleston. Visitation with the family will be from 6 to 8 PM on Tuesday, also at the funeral home.
