Garland R. "Frosty" Foster, 83, of South Charleston, went home to be with the Lord on March 22, 2015 at Hubbard Hospice House. Mr. Foster was a veteran of the US Army. He was a former manager for Look magazine. He was also a former member of the Moose Lodge and VFW. Frosty loved hunting, camping and family outings. He also enjoyed gardening, pitching horse shoes and NASCAR. Preceding him in death were his daughter, Kimberly Foster; son, Stephen Foster; parents, Harold and Gypsy Foster; and brothers, Harold R. and Larry Lee Foster. Survivors include his loving wife of 62 years, Violet M. Foster; daughter, Debbie Gallagher and husband, Mark of South Charleston; son, Timothy Foster and wife, Debra of Richmond, VA; brother, Donald Foster of Henderson, NV; grandchildren, Frank Hashey, Veronica Hashey Snodgrass, Angela Morrow, Eric Foster, Melissa Tate, and Tim Foster, Jr.; and 14 great-grandchildren. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be 1:00 PM Thursday, March 26, 2015 at Cunningham-Parker-Johnson Funeral Home with Pastor Robert Underwood and Pastor John Jenkins officiating. Entombment with military honors provided by American Legion Post 61, Clendenin will follow at Floral Hills Garden of Memories, Pocatalico. Visitation will be one hour prior to service time at the funeral home.
