Franklin Delano Ross

Franklin Delano Ross was born on February 8, 1942, in Lego, West Virginia.He was the son of
Jacob Minor and Ethel Ross.

Frank attended the public schools in Raleigh County and graduated from Byrd Prillerman High
School in Beckley.He served in the US Army.Frank retired after 28 years from Monsanto
Chemical Plant in 2001.He was a faithful member of the New Covenant Missionary Baptist
Church where he served on the Usher Board and because of his love for the children he was
known as "Uncle Frank".Frank also served as a mentor and tutor at the Second Avenue Center in
the After School Program and was know as "the Candy Men",

Frank departed this life on November 25, 2021 at CAMC General Hospital.His survivors include
wife, Geneva; two sons, Franklin Delano, Jr. and Adrian Tremayne (April); sister, Geraldine Helen
Ross.Frank was a loving grandfather to 9 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren:a host
of nieces and nephews.Memorial celebration service will be held at New Covenant Missionary
Baptist Church on Saturday, December 4th at 12:00 p.m.Visitation with the family will be one hour
prior to services.
