Franklin Delano "Bubba" Hammonds Jr., 50 of Charleston, formerly of Orlando, Florida passed away Friday, April 6, 2018, at CAMC General after a short illness.
Bubba was a painting contractor in the Orlando, FL area for over 30 years, he knew no strangers and loved to tell his "funny" jokes.
Preceding him in death was his father, Franklin Delano Hammonds Sr.
He is survived by his mother Betty Hammonds of Charleston, WV, step-son Kyle Clark of Oregon, sons Dillon Hammonds of Orlando, FL and Franklin Hammonds III of Arizona, daughter-in-law Heather Hammonds and granddaughter Abigail of Arizona, formal spouse of 21 years Tammy Powell Hammonds, sister Frances and her husband Mark Morris of Charleston, WV, step sister Gail Hammonds Marceau of Tampa FL, niece Samantha Shaffer and nephew Robert Morris of Charleston.
The family wishes to thank the staff of Genesis Healthcare in Dunbar and CAMC for the love and care shown toward our family during this difficult time.
Cunningham-Parker-Johnson Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. A remembrance gathering for family and friends will be held at a later time.
