Frances Mary Whittington, 85, of Sissonville, went home to be with the Lord on April 10, 2011. She dearly loved and was devoted to her family and her family dearly loved her. She was a Homemaker and a Life Time member of Elizabeth Baptist Church. Frances was preceded in death by her husband, William C. "Billy" Whittington; parents, Robert and Lillie Thaxton and her brothers, Franklin, Atlee and Ronsford Thaxton. Surviving her are Daughter, Palma Whittington Dailey; Sons, William R. "Bill" Whittington and his wife Judy; and Roger C. and his wife Judith A. Whittington.; grandchildren and great-grandchildren, William R. "Rob" Whittington, Jr. and his wife Brandy, their children, Katherine, William and Grace: Jeff and Monica Herr, and their children, Jacob and Zachery: Christian Dailey and his wife Aleisha, and their children, Brooklyn, Georgie, Emma and Parker, Jenna Whittington, Julie Whittington and Jason Whittington; sisters and brothers, Wanda Holmes; Roy "Boogie" and his wife Jody Thaxton; Neda Fizer and her husband Paul and Sharon Pinkerton and her husband Michael Pinkerton, and many other family and friends are left to mourn her passing. The family would like to say a Special Thank You to Dr. William Harris; caregiver, Diane Shamblin and the Kanawha Hospice Care Staff. Funeral Services will be 1:00 PM Wednesday April 13, 2011 at Cunningham-Parker-Johnson Funeral Home with Pastor Joe Scarberry officiating. Burial will follow in Floral Hills Garden of Memories, Pocatalico. Visitation with the family will be two hours prior to services, also on Wednesday.
