Fay Irene Kimmell Crooks, 88, of Ripley, WV, formerly of College Park, Fairmont, WV, and Rural Valley, PA died February 6, 2010 at The Caring Place after an extended illness. She was born December 19, 1921 in Rural Valley, PA to the late John Robinson Kimmell and Hazel Viola (Marshall) Kimmell. She was the second of ten children and grew up on the family farm with a very close, warm family. She was a devoted wife and loving mother and grandmother. Her tender heart, kindness and caring nature will be greatly missed by family and friends. Surviving her are her daughter and son-in-law, Sherry and Michael Williams of Ripley, WV; grandchildren, David Williams and his wife, Samantha of Vienna, VA, Elizabeth (Bethy) Sirbaugh and her husband, Richard of Given, WV, and Dan Williams of Burke, VA; great-grandsons, Jack, Joshua and Henry Williams; great-granddaughter, Hillary Sirbaugh; sisters, Ruth Aikens of Saltsburgh, PA, Verda Thomas of Home, PA and Eleanor Rose of Indiana, PA; brothers, Ralph Kimmell of Merritt Island, FL, Floyd Kimmell of Vandergrift, PA and John Kimmell of Rural Valley, PA. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Bertram James Crooks and brothers, Paul, Joe and Donald Kimmell. Private interment was at Atwood Cemetery, Atwood Borough, PA. A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, March 6, 2010 at Plumville Presbyterian Church, Plumville, Pennsylvania
