Obituary

Surrounded by her family, Faith Bartlett, 78, of Sissonville, went home to be with her Lord, March 14, 2018. She grew up in Whitesville, WV, where she met, and later married her childhood sweetheart, Bill J. Bartlett. The two of them enjoyed a loving marriage for 58 years. She joined her husband in planting Maranatha Baptist Church in 1969 and served the Lord as a Pastor's wife for 39 years. She attended Tennessee Temple College and graduated from West Virginia State College. She was a school teacher in private and public schools, including twenty-five years as a kindergarten teacher.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Kathleen Hammack; uncle, Thomas King; son, T. Kemp Bartlett and grandson, Andrew Tyler Harper.
She is survived by her husband, Bill J. Bartlett; sisters, Rose Toellner, (Robert), Jeanette Thomas, (Bruce); son, Kevan, (Linda); twin daughters, Kelly Britton, (Tim) and Kimberly Harper, (Richard); grandchildren, Tommy, (Jennifer), Travis, (Tara), Tim, (Jo Bartlett), Tiffany Wetzel, (Steven) and Charity Harper; great-grandchildren, Kolton, Karleigh, Konnor, Kinsleigh, Beatrice, Ajay, Andrew Bartlett, and Evan and Eli Hines; numerous nieces, nephews and cousin Mike King.
Faith, Mom, Grandmomma, Mrs. B. was loved by many. She enjoyed ladies ministry and thoroughly delighted in serving alongside her husband. She also loved flower gardening, seasonal decorating, and bird watching.
A gathering to celebrate Faith Bartlett's life will be held Saturday, March 17, at Maranatha Baptist Church, Charleston.
The family will receive guests at 10:30 am followed by the funeral service at noon, officiated by Pastor Emeritus Dr. Bill J. Bartlett, Pastor T. Kevan Bartlett and Missionary Dr. Ron White. Burial will follow at Floral Hills Garden of Memories, Pocatalico.
